#CollaborationOverCompetition >> Today on the blog we wanted to share three tips for finding your blogger bestie, or better yet, the ultimate blogger girl gang. Meeting girls who know what you’re going through and can share tips/offer encouragement is HUGE in an industry where it is so easy to feel burnt out and defeated.
Finding your tribe can take time. We know how natural it can be to look at other bloggers with their group pics and fun brunches and feel like you’re on the outside. Like you’re not in with the “in-crowd” of our industry.
Our secret: Everyone has felt that way before.
Here are our three quick tips for building your community and feeling connected to your industry!
- Engage! The No.1 piece of advice we can give in building a blogger community is to pursue your blogger connections like you would pursue new friends IRL. Engage with other bloggers who share common interests/style/aesthetic, comment on their feeds, shoot them DMs, respond to their stories. AND (big, big “and”).
- Connect…Authentically: Avoid surface level comments like “Cute!”. Share something about yourself. Read captions and comment back thoughtfully, showing you’ve read. That leaves a major impression and creates inroads for future friendships!
